From the beginning Brentwood Park was seen as a retreat from a rapidly growing city. As a wooded refuge, the Park is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Southern California.

In 1915, Brentwood Park residents formed an Association to preserve this special style of living. The Brentwood Park Property Owners’ Association (BPPOA) is committed to representing the interests of all its property owners. It focuses on preserving and maintaining the park-like quality of the area and the safety of families who live in the Park. The Association has nurtured collegial relationships with the various city and county department heads and their representatives in local government. This approach has facilitated the prevention and resolution of conflicts and differences of opinion that may arise. BPPOA makes a special effort to assist residents in meeting and enjoying the company of their neighbors at various community events.
